The Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT confirmed Ott Tänak’s retirement was down to ECU failure.

Quote of the Day: WRC TV’s John Desborough – “Turkey’s like an oven…”

Car 1. OGIER/INGRASSIA
“The previous one was so abrasive and we had a lot of tyre wear. This one is so rough and I drove very carefully in this one.”

Car 3. SUNINEN/LEHTINEN
“Maybe we lost 10 seconds or something (front splitter damage).”

Car 4. LAPPI/FERM
“It is still okay. A steep downhill and I stalled under braking. Even the power steering didn’t work and it was hairpin left and it took a few seconds.”

Car 5. MEEKE/MARSHALL
“They (Hyundai) are faster than us. We need to get stronger on this type of rally. We need to use what we have got at the moment.”

Car 6. SORDO/DEL BARRIO
“I was a little bit scared of the tyres. I saw the tyres of Toyota before the stage and they were worse on the back. I think we need to take it a bit more careful on the next stage.”

Car 7. TIDEMAND/FLOENE
“It was still slippery. It is a very nice stage and really fun.”

Car 10. LATVALA/ANTTILA
“My tyres are near the end and I have to back off a bit here. It was a lot rougher conditions than I thought. I tried too hard on the long one.”

Car 11. NEUVILLE/GILSOUL
“I had a good clean stage. There are a lot of rocks and you need to keep the car inside.
We still have to keep going. We only need a puncture or a small spin (for a rival) and we could be there again.”

Car 89. MIKKELSEN/JAEGER
“It was okay. I tried to save my tyres a bit for the last stage.”

Car 22. GREENSMITH/EDMONDSON
Grabbed the WRC 2 Pro lead before the stage. “We have no spare (tyre). Today is about getting to the end. Then we can do what we have to do tomorrow.”

Car 23. KOPECKÝ/DRESLER
Sustained a puncture in SS11. “I don’t know. We try to catch him (Greensmith).”
