Date: Saturday, September 14th
Day: 3 Flash N°: 8
Special stage: Yeşibelde 1 Distance: 33.00 km
Weather: Warm and sunny, 26°C
Road conditions: Dry and dusty

Three-minute intervals

Car 1. OGIER/INGRASSIA
“I think I was surprised not many driver did it (medium tyres). I tried to save them all the stage. So far it looks good. I have to check the tyres now.”

Car 3. SUNINEN/LEHTINEN
“I felt that it was really slippery.”

Car 4. LAPPI/FERM
“I am fine with that. It’s okay. No drama. The bonnet was open. One pin maybe and it was lifting a bit. Seb had a crazy drive. I am not so good managing the tyre wear so I cannot use mediums.”

Car 5. MEEKE/MARSHALL
“Tricky stage. We should have four-minute gaps. I struggled in the fast places to see. It went on for ever.”

Car 6. SORDO/DEL BARRIO
“For me it was a bad stage. A lot of dust and the car was moving a lot at the rear. There were a lot of small stones.”

Car 7. TIDEMAND/FLOENE
“For me it was very loose. I enjoy it. It was fun but the time was not good. It was very slippery.”

Car 8. TÄNAK/JÄRVEOJA
“From this position we have no chance. It is loose and slippery and not a great feeling.”

Car 10. LATVALA/ANTTILA
“Not good. I have the car is too stiff for the conditions like this. I did my set-up more for the
cleaner roads and the dust is quite heavy, so it is not easy to drive.”

Car 11. NEUVILLE/GILSOUL
Stunning split times until 17km of the stage when the i20 stopped and then restarted behind Ogier with the loss of over four minutes. “Very slow right and left in the dust. I could nor see the corner. There was a stone and it put me out of the road and I had to try and come back.”

Car 89. MIKKELSEN/JAEGER
Stopped briefly after 16km after staggering early split times but still set a flyer. “We had a stall as well. There was quite a lot of dust. It was hard to see and I missed a turn with a wall in front of me. We lost five seconds, I guess.”
