Date: Friday, September 13 th
Day: 2 Flash N°: 4
Special stage: Ula 1 Distance: 16.57 km
Weather: Warm and sunny, 28°C
Road conditions: Dry and dusty after morning shower

Local weather forecast has changed with storms possible now from 3pm onwards.
Car 1. OGIER/INGRASSIA
“I think it was not ideal with the tyre (puncture). It compromised our strategy. After that the
loop was okay. It was very dusty in the middle of the stage and a lot of dust was coming in
at a slow corner.”
Car 3. SUNINEN/LEHTINEN
“It has been okay. It is so difficult to say here. You cannot be on the limits. We have been
going forward and trying to stay away from problems.”
Car 4. LAPPI/FERM
“It’s been good and we have stayed out of troubles. The car is working well. This one I
was a bit too slowly. Better to be safe than to be over the limit.”
From SS3 – “Very clean stage. I just kept it on the line all the time. That is the secret. You
need to have margin in every corner to avoid the rocks.”
Car 5. MEEKE/MARSHALL
“I drive with a good rhythm. I was a bit surprised with the time. This afternoon is going to
be tricky.”
Car 6. SORDO/DEL BARRIO
“I start like this and it is difficult. I am already at the back and it is not so easy. You push
and you can puncture again. It is like this, so we have to do the best we can.”
Car 7. TIDEMAND/FLOENE
Survived a moment with the rear end down a banking. “It feels we are going in the right
direction. We keep going like this.”
Car 8. TÄNAK/JÄRVEOJA
“It has been difficult. This was looser. I think we were good and the wear was good. I think
we did everything we could from where we were.”
Car 10. LATVALA/ANTTILA
“I had a little bit angry with myself (cautious in SS3). At least it saved me the tyres to be
able to attack here.”
Car 11. NEUVILLE/GILSOUL
“My car is not working like it should. These cleaning conditions with second on the road. I

was surprised as well with the tyres. It has been a very bad morning for us. We tried hard
in the car, but the times are not coming.”
Car 89. MIKKELSEN/JAEGER
“I was too hard. I should have had some mediums in there. It was hard to know whether to
use them or not. I had the lack of traction.”
Car 21. ROVANPERÄ/HALTTUNEN
News from end of SS3 – “We had three flat tyres. We change one puncture in the front.
No idea where I got it. I slowed down the pace because we had no spare tyres but there
was a big rock in the corner. It is over for us now because we have no more tyres to get
back to service.”
Car 22. GREENSMITH/EDMONDSON
News from end of SS3 – “Puncture, pretty quickly after 14km. I was driving clean. It is a
lottery. There will be a lot more punctures today.”
Car 45. NOBRE/MORALES
Stopped for over nine minutes in SS3 before and after the 30km split.
Car 51. GILL/MACNEALL
Stopped 12km into SS3 and dropped over three minutes.
