Three-minute intervals

Car 1.     OGIER/INGRASSIA

“It is better than nothing. We struggled a bit at the end of the day. Overall I am happy to

be here. We did not have too much trouble at least.”

Car 3.     SUNINEN/LEHTINEN

“I am pleased. We are fourth at the moment.  I am sure there is some work for the

mechanics to fix the holes on the chassis.”

Car 4.     LAPPI/FERM

“That’s cool (to be leading). They were very tricky and slippery stages. We managed it

well. Dani was clearly faster with the mediums. But he is far away. The car has been

strong. It was a bit soft from the front and then we made it stiffer. Seventeen seconds is a

lot in Finland but one minute is not so much here!”

Car 5.     MEEKE/MARSHALL

“To be honest we had loads of problems heading into the longer stage. We had no jacking

point on the left and I knew that if we had a puncture we would be out of the rally. Not an

easy afternoon.”

Car 6.     SORDO/DEL BARRIO

“The only stage you can drive a little bit. We lost power with the turbo on the stage before.

The balance of the car was nice. The only target is we are here fighting for the

Manufacturers. If we can stay in front of some Toyotas it will be good in the end.”

Car 7.     TIDEMAND/FLOENE

“Some times (we made progress). A lot to learn. We are missing the front lip on the car.”

Car 8.    TÄNAK/JÄRVEOJA

“It has been crazier. There is a long way to go. Still, not the afternoon we were looking for.

We will see.”

Car 10.   LATVALA/ANTTILA

“Been very difficult. I did not expect things like that. A puncture, we lost the bumper and

we had a bad noise, I hit a rock and then the rain came and I could not drive in the mud. I

think for the sport it is pretty exciting at the moment.”

Car 11.   NEUVILLE/GILSOUL

“Tyres are worn. I did not care about anything in the long stage. I just pushed and it

worked well. We know we have a problem in these conditions. Every time we are first on

the road this season, we struggle with the grip.”

Car 89.   MIKKELSEN/JAEGER

“We did our best. We tried to survive the best we could with the tyres we had. The tyres

were so far gone anyway that we could not take advantage of the mediums that we

brought.”
