Lost the lead and slipped to third behind Evans. Front-left puncture with tyre off the rim and rumours of
a potential transmission issue.

Car 33. EVANS/MARTIN
Up to second place. “It’s very difficult, the tyre wear is high and it’s very rough as well.”

Car 11. NEUVILLE/GILSOUL
New rally leader. “It was okay for me. I had a good stage. The tyre wear must be very high. At the end I
was sliding around. We slowed down in the middle and were better towards the end. Now we have two
new tyres for the next two.”

Car 69. ROVANPERĀ/HALTTUNEN
Front-right puncture and dropped 14.3 seconds to Suninen. ”No idea. I don’t know where I got the
puncture. I just got it somewhere.”

Car 3. SUNINEN/LEHTINEN
Damage to the front of the Ford Fiesta with cooling ducting hanging out of the underside of the car.
“Yes. It is normal here!”

“We changed the dampers but it is not still perfect.”

“I lost the tyres completely at the end. I don’t know how we can go on.”

Car 44. GREENSMITH/EDMONDSON
Rear-right puncture at the stage finish. “I had a puncture in this stage last year around the same area.”

Car 7. LOUBET/LANDAIS
Thirteen seconds faster than his morning’s run, despite locking the brakes and stalling near the finish.
The Frenchman looked exhausted at the stage finish.
